8 steps to perform THE crow pose perfectly!

Crow Pose, also known as Bakasana, is an arm balance yoga pose that requires strength, balance, and flexibility in the arms, shoulders, and core. Practicing Crow Pose in a heated environment, such as a hot yoga class, can provide additional benefits by warming up the muscles and increasing flexibility, making it easier to perform the pose. Here are some tips on how to perform Crow Pose safely and effectively in a heated environment:

  1. Start in a low squat position with your knees together and your hands placed on the floor in front of you.

  2. Bring your hands closer to your feet so your fingers are spread wide and your wrists are directly under your shoulders.

  3. Shift your weight forward, lifting your hips up and back while pressing your hands down firmly into the floor.

  4. As you begin to balance on your hands, engage your core muscles and lift one foot off the floor.

  5. Bring the other foot up to join the first, so you can now balance your hands with your knees resting on your upper arms.

  6. Keep your gaze forward, and your shoulders relaxed.

  7. Hold the pose for as long as possible while maintaining good form. Make sure to breathe normally throughout the process.

  8. To release the pose, gently lower one foot to the floor and then the other, returning to a low squat position.

It's important to note that this pose may be challenging for beginners, and it may take some practice to build the strength and balance required to perform it safely. It is recommended to use the wall as a support or to practice it with the help of a yoga teacher. It's also important to listen to your body and not push beyond your limits. Practicing in a heated environment can help to warm up the muscles and increase flexibility, making it easier to perform the pose.
